Centro Cristiano Cultural de Guatemala ("CCCG," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit cccguatemala.com, contact us, make a donation, express interest in volunteering or a mission trip, participate in a CCCG program, or otherwise communicate with us through this website.
This policy covers our website. It is not necessarily the complete policy governing information CCCG collects directly through its on-the-ground charitable, educational, medical, ministry, sponsorship, or child-focused programs in Guatemala, which may involve different forms and different information than what's described here.

Please don't submit sensitive information — medical details, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, or similar — through our general contact form. It isn't designed to collect or protect that kind of information, and we don't need it to respond to a general inquiry.
Our hosting provider and the security/verification services described in "Service Providers" below may automatically process technical information as part of delivering and protecting the site, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you request, referring page, date and time, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and server logs and anti-spam/security signals. This is standard information any website host processes to serve traffic and isn't something CCCG separately collects, analyzes, or acts on beyond what's needed to run and secure the site.

CCCG does not sell personal information.
CCCG offers several ways to give, including PayPal, automatic giving, monthly or annual check, and monthly bank deposit. Not every donation to CCCG is processed through PayPal — most of these options never touch an online payment processor at all.
If you choose to give through PayPal, your transaction is processed entirely by PayPal, not by CCCG. PayPal may collect information necessary to process your donation, such as your name, email, billing information, payment-card or bank information, and PayPal account information. That information is handled according to PayPal's own privacy policy, terms, and security practices — we encourage you to review PayPal's privacy policy before donating through it.
CCCG never receives or stores your PayPal password, and we do not receive your full payment-card number. After a PayPal donation, we may receive limited transaction information from PayPal — such as your name, email, the donation amount, the date, and a transaction or reference identifier — which we may keep for donation processing, sending acknowledgments and receipts, accounting, donor records, and legal or tax obligations.
Because we never receive a confirmation from PayPal that a donation actually completed, we can't always confirm a PayPal gift succeeded from our side — if you have any doubt, please check your PayPal account or contact us.
If you give by check, automatic giving, bank deposit, or another offline method, CCCG may receive the information reasonably necessary to process and document that contribution (for example, a mailing address for a check, or account details you provide for a bank deposit).
CCCG does not sell, rent, or trade donor personal information.
If you contact us about a mission trip, volunteer opportunity, church partnership, team visit, sponsorship, or other way of supporting CCCG's work, we may use the information you provide to communicate with you and help coordinate your participation. Our general website forms are not designed to collect passport numbers, medical records, emergency contacts, background-check results, or similarly sensitive information — if a specific program ever needs that kind of information, it would be collected through a dedicated process, not the public website.

This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising, and we don't set any cookies of our own. Two of the third-party services above may set their own cookies as part of doing their job: Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie while completing its spam-verification check, and Vimeo's video player may set a cookie once you click to play a video. YouTube videos on this site use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed mode, which doesn't set cookies until you choose to play a video.
If we ever add analytics, advertising, or additional tracking technologies in the future, we'll update this section to describe them accurately.
Our website links to third-party websites and services — including PayPal, social media platforms, partner churches and ministries, and other organizations we've worked with or been supported by. Once you leave cccguatemala.com, that third party's own privacy practices apply, not ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
CCCG's programs serve children and young people in Guatemala. This website itself, however, is primarily intended for donors, parents, guardians, churches, volunteers, and other adult supporters. Our general website forms are not designed to knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and children should not submit personal information through them without a parent or legal guardian's involvement. If we become aware that a child has submitted personal information through our general website forms without appropriate involvement from a parent or guardian, we will take reasonable steps to review and, where appropriate, delete that information.
As noted above, this policy describes our website — it is not necessarily the complete policy governing information collected directly through CCCG's programs that serve children on the ground in Guatemala.
Our website includes photographs, videos, and stories from CCCG's ministry work. We strive to use these — including any names attached to them — respectfully and appropriately. If you, or someone you're legally responsible for, believe that content on this website should be reviewed, corrected, or removed, please contact us using the information below. We can't confirm that a signed release exists for every historical photograph on this site, particularly older material, but we take requests about specific content seriously.
We keep information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this policy — for example, ongoing communication, donor relationships, donation and accounting records, other organizational records, legal obligations, security, and program administration. We don't follow a fixed deletion schedule for every kind of information; retention depends on why we collected it in the first place.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the information we handle. That said, no method of transmission over the Internet, and no method of electronic storage, can be guaranteed to be completely secure — we can't promise that this website or any email exchange with us is completely secure, and neither can any other website.
